The idea for this blog started because many of our family, friends, and colleagues began asking questions about how to follow a vegan diet. Why are we experts? About seven years ago, my husband made the decision to follow a vegan diet. This was not for religious, health, or other reasons. He decided one day after completing a fast that he just did not want to introduce animal products into his body. This posed a tremendous challenge for our household since the kids and I do not follow a vegan diet.

Over the years, we have learned where to shop, what products are really vegan, and how to incorporate a vegan diet into our everyday lifestyle. Visiting family and friends, going to restaturants, or vacationing can be quite challenging, but we’ve learned a few things along the way and hope this information will help you.

The goal of this blog is to provide useful tips and tools to help with the transition to a vegan diet. Regardless of the decision that brought you to a vegan diet (health, preference, animal rights, etc.), this site will only focus on tips and tools to help you now that you’ve made that decision. This site will not discuss what is right or wrong about a non-vegan or vegan diets.
